About the role
We're looking for a UGC Video Editor who thrives at creating high-performing social content. This role is ideal for someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, loves turning raw footage into compelling ads, and is passionate about performance-driven creative. You'll work closely with our directors, account managers, creative strategists, designers, and clients to produce engaging UGC-style content that helps a diverse roster of DTC brands grow.

The Role
You'll play a key role in transforming creative strategies, briefs, scripts, and creator footage into high-performing, social-first advertising assets. Your primary focus will be editing UGC videos for paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging platforms. Working alongside creative strategists, you'll understand the objective behind each concept and bring it to life through compelling editing, storytelling, pacing, captions, sound design, and motion graphics. You'll take raw footage from creators and turn it into polished ads that feel native to each platform while driving measurable performance. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of modern social content and direct-response advertising. You should have excellent instincts for hooks, retention, pacing, emotional storytelling, and platform-specific editing styles. You'll also have a sharp eye for detail and know how to balance creativity with performance. You'll collaborate with the broader creative team to continuously improve our creative output, contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions, and stay ahead of emerging editing trends, social formats, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Edit UGC-style video advertisements for paid social platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels. Transform raw creator footage into engaging, high-converting advertisements using strong storytelling and editing techniques. Develop compelling hooks, pacing, transitions, captions, and visual treatments that maximize viewer retention. Add motion graphics, text animations, subtitles, callouts, and other visual elements that enhance creative performance. Source and incorporate b-roll, stock footage, sound effects, music, and supporting assets when needed. Collaborate closely with creative strategists to execute against creative briefs and campaign objectives. Interpret scripts and concepts into polished, performance-driven video assets. Adapt creative for multiple aspect ratios, placements, and platform-specific best practices. Maintain brand consistency while producing content that feels native to each platform. Participate in creative brainstorming and contribute fresh editing ideas, trends, and creative approaches. Incorporate feedback quickly while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Organize project files and maintain efficient production workflows. Stay current on emerging UGC trends, social platforms, editing techniques, AI tools, and performance creative best practices.
What We're Looking For
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment. 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably creating paid social or performance marketing content. Strong portfolio showcasing UGC editing and performance-focused creative. Portfolio required to be considered. Experience editing content for Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other vertical video platforms. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for simple motion graphics and animation. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Figma for basic design tasks. Strong understanding of direct-response creative, storytelling, hooks, pacing, retention editing, and conversion-focused video structure. Experience creating captions, motion typography, and social-first graphics. Excellent understanding of platform-specific creative best practices. Ability to receive and implement feedback while maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude. Passion for social media, creative testing, and performance marketing.
Bonus Experience editing high-volume UGC creative for DTC or eCommerce brands. Strong understanding of paid social advertising and creative testing methodologies. Familiarity with AI-powered video editing, captioning, voiceover, and creative production tools, with an interest in incorporating AI workflows to improve efficiency and creative output. Experience sourcing stock footage, music, and creator assets to strengthen ad performance. Basic motion graphics and animation skills in After Effects. Experience working in a performance marketing agency or DTC eCommerce environment.
