Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and storage of products. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. Experience with warehouse management systems and equipment operation is highly valued.

Duties

• Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists and purchase orders
• Prepare shipping documents and labels accurately in accordance with company procedures
• Manage inventory updates within warehouse management systems such as MRP, AS400, or similar platforms
• Organize and store products efficiently within the warehouse to optimize space utilization
• Assist with order picking, packing, and preparation for shipment
• Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Operate order picker equipment to retrieve items from high shelves or hard-to-reach areas
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Support warehouse distribution activities to meet customer delivery deadlines

Skills

• Proven experience in shipping & receiving within a warehouse environment
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, or AS400 platforms
• Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely
• Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment procedures
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations
• Experience with e-commerce order processing and packaging requirements preferred
• Familiarity with order picking techniques and load & unload operations
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping documentation and inventory management
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
