Director, PMO & Delivery

Position Summary Our client is seeking a Director, PMO & Delivery to lead execution across a portfolio of business and technology initiatives.

This role is responsible for strengthening how work is prioritized, planned, and delivered across the organization. It brings structure, visibility, and consistency to enterprise delivery, ensuring initiatives are aligned to business priorities and executed effectively.

The Director will oversee the Project Management Office and work closely with business and technology leaders to improve planning, coordination, and delivery outcomes across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.

This position plays a key role in enhancing delivery discipline, improving cross-functional alignment, and supporting organizational growth through more effective execution practices.

Key Responsibilities

PMO & Delivery Leadership Lead and evolve the Project Management Office, including delivery standards, governance, and reporting Establish consistent project and program delivery practices across the organization Improve visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes Support teams in planning, execution, and delivery of key initiatives Enhance governance processes while maintaining flexibility for evolving priorities

Portfolio & Execution Oversight Support prioritization and coordination across multiple initiatives and business units Align delivery plans with business objectives and available capacity Improve coordination across stakeholders, teams, and functions Strengthen risk identification, issue management, and escalation practices Promote consistency in planning, tracking, and execution

Business Alignment & Delivery Readiness Partner with stakeholders to ensure initiatives are clearly defined and ready for execution Support alignment between business requirements and delivery teams Improve clarity of scope, goals, and expected outcomes across initiatives Contribute to stronger cross-functional collaboration and communication

Operational Improvement Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, tools, and ways of working Introduce practical reporting and metrics to support decision-making Reduce inefficiencies and improve overall delivery effectiveness

Leadership Lead and develop a team of IT project managers and delivery professionals Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement Build strong relationships across business and technology teams Provide leadership with insights on delivery performance and risks

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field 7+ years of experience in project delivery, PMO leadership, or program management Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex environments Strong understanding of project governance, planning, and delivery practices Proven ability to improve delivery consistency and execution outcomes Experience managing stakeholders across business and technology teams Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams Experience in a regulated or complex environment is considered an asset
