Canada - Edmonton
Primary Role Focus
Responsible for sourcing raw material and components required for planned and project demands in a timely manner to ensure schedules are met. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
Determine priorities, schedules, initiate requests for quotations and issue purchase orders Develop an understanding of supplier base and their capabilities Upgrade ERP item cards including vendor information, pricing and historical information Track orders to ensure they are on schedule and update system as required when changes occur Monitor, expedite, and troubleshoot orders through to completion and update stakeholders as required Maintain correct and accurate flow of information to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction is delivered to all stakeholders Fulfill production orders for secondary processes Work with Accounts Payable department to ensure all vendor invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
Position Requirements
Experience and Skills
Purchasing or supply chain experience related to manufacturing is an asset Understanding of supply chain, product costing, and quality control principles Working experience with ERP systems (i.e. Business Central, Navision, JDE, SAP, Oracle) Intermediate Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Read and understand engineering drawings Oil and gas experience an asset Knowledge of down-hole product, machining of parts, and sourcing machined parts is an asset
Education and Training
High school diploma required Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate is preferred (i.e. commerce degree, SCMP, Inventory & Production management certificate)
Physical and Safety Requirements
Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program Position is not safety sensitive, but is subject to post-incident and reasonable-suspicion drug & alcohol testing Extended periods of sitting at a desk and use of a computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse
