About the role
Job Summary Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients with hearing, balance, communication, or swallowing disorders. Work collaboratively with health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Number of Positions 2 Main Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments using standardized tests and instrumentation for hearing, balance, speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions for pediatric and adult clients. Fit, program, and provide follow-up care for hearing devices and related assistive listening technologies where applicable. Provide counseling and education to clients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, device use, and home-based therapy programs. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, assessment reports, and treatment records in accordance with professional standards. Collaborate with physicians, educators, allied health professionals, and community agencies; participate in case conferences and outreach activities. Requirements Master's degree or equivalent in audiology or speech-language pathology from an accredited program. Registration or licensure with the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory body where required to practice. Demonstrated clinical experience through practicum placements or professional work with pediatric and/or adult populations. Competence in administering and interpreting standardized assessments and using diagnostic equipment and assistive technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language ability considered an asset. Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, with flexibility to travel between sites or provide community/home visits as needed. Proficiency with audiological instruments, hearing devices, and assistive communication technologies. Client-centered communication, counseling, and family education.
