Join a leading food manufacturer just outside London, Ontario! We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech II (Millwright) to support mechanical installations and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
Millwright (Maintenance Technician) – Role Details Shift: 12-hour continental shift, rotating every 2 weeks (6:30am – 6:30pm & 6:30pm – 6:30am) Rate: $41.14 (Apprentice Rate), $45.94 (Maintenance Tech II), increasing to $46.05/Hr. (once B License is obtained) Benefits: Health benefits after 90 days, Vacation: 2 weeks vacation RRSP match: 3% Union Benefits: Great benefits through the union
Millwright (Maintenance Technician) Responsibilities Provide mechanical expertise in the installation and maintenance of plant equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and continuous improvement opportunities. Perform routine preventive maintenance and work order tasks. Identify potential risks in fast-paced production areas and work collaboratively to minimize downtime. Complete maintenance reports and logs to support effective maintenance systems. Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in work areas and the maintenance shop. Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to all food safety, quality, and safety policies. Collaborate with the maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Millwright (Maintenance Technician) Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. A valid Millwright license (433A) or equivalent experience, preferably in food manufacturing. Willingness to obtain a Class “B” Refrigeration Operator License (supported in-house) Experience as a millwright or maintenance technician in continuous process manufacturing, ideally food or pharmaceuticals. Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Excellent attendance, reliability, and strong communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate in a team environment. Must be comfortable with 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
