Job Description
In this role as a Network and Systems Administrator, reporting to the IT Services team, you will be responsible for:
Administering, monitoring, and maintaining Windows Server and Linux environments. Diagnosing and resolving issues related to network performance, security, and connectivity. Designing and implementing customized technology solutions in collaboration with clients. Managing infrastructure services for our clients (Active Directory, virtualization, backup solutions, etc.). Deploying workstations, servers, and various networking equipment. Providing advanced technical support and ensuring thorough follow-up on support tickets. Documenting technical changes, interventions, and technical procedures. Actively participating in architecture reviews and infrastructure improvement recommendations. Leveraging automation and scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to improve efficiency. Traveling occasionally to client sites to support projects.
Desired Profile
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Excellent knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and Windows Server. Strong experience with the following technologies: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Hyper-V/VMware, firewalls (SonicWALL, WatchGuard), enterprise antivirus solutions, and backup systems (BackupExec, Veeam). Hands-on experience managing Proxmox VE virtualization environments, including virtual machines, containers, storage management, and high-availability configurations. Knowledge of Citrix and Cisco products is considered an asset. Experience managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is considered an asset.
Expérience and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in network and systems administration. Valid driver's license required for occasional travel. Excellent command of French (spoken, written, and comprehension) is essential. English is considered an asset, as some clients are English-speaking only. Experience with industrial systems and technologies is considered an asset. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are considered assets.
