About The Role
We're building next-generation AI systems for aviation and autonomous flight — and we need people who actually understand what's happening on the radio.
This is not generic transcription work. We're looking for pilots, air traffic controllers, aviation students, and dedicated enthusiasts who can accurately capture real-world ATC and pilot communications with precision. Your work will directly improve AI systems used in aviation safety and autonomy.
Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox) Type: Hourly / Task-Based Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Transcribe real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot audio recordings Accurately label speakers, callsigns, instructions, and read-backs Capture aviation-specific terminology, abbreviations, and standard phraseology Complete task-based assignments at your own pace within quality guidelines Maintain high accuracy standards — precision is critical in this role
Who You Are
A pilot (PPL, CPL, ATPL), student pilot, or certified Air Traffic Controller An aviation professional or serious enthusiast with strong familiarity with radio communications Someone who understands ICAO/FAA phraseology and can parse fast, noisy audio Extremely detail-oriented with patience for careful, methodical audio work Self-motivated and able to work independently to quality standards
You do not need to be a professional transcriptionist — but you must understand aviation communications.
Nice to Have
Experience monitoring LiveATC or similar platforms Background in aviation dispatch, ground operations, or military aviation Familiarity with different regional ATC accents and communication styles
