Bilingualism is required because this is a position involving collaboration at the national level, and the candidate will need to handle and follow up on various requests from clients and third parties who understand and communicate only in English. This position also requires the candidate to be able to interact seamlessly with colleagues in our offices across Canada, where English is the predominant language. Since we estimate that more than 60% of the work required for this position must be performed in English, and to ensure that the employee in this role can carry out their duties independently and effectively, candidates for this position must be able to communicate appropriately in both French and English, both verbally and in writing. We are recruiting for an Bilingual Events Coordinator to join our team in our Montreal office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of event planning experience, preferably in a professional services or hospitality environment, and will be responsible for coordinating and executing onsite and offsite events, managing event logistics and vendor relationships, and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
As a Bilingual Events Coordinator, you will be
Working in tandem with your colleagues in the coordination of all aspects of both onsite and offsite in-person events including: providing direction and executing internal events and onsite client events. ensuring all document is complete. coordinating both in-house third party vendors and external vendors to deliver the needs of the event.
Liasing regularly with Events and members of other cross functional teams
Communicating AV requirements Coordinating room set-ups and catering arrangements Ensuring after hours events support is in place Working collaboratively with the Client team ensuring that even needs are fully met Keep team lead informed of progress on projects, as well as any issues that require escalation Foster strong cross-departmental relationships as they relate to the Firm's conference centre.
As our ideal candidate, you will distinguish yourself by the following profile
College/University Diploma in business, marketing, communications, and/or a diploma in event planning. Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning preferably in a professional services/hospitality environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer focus. Strong professional demeanour and an approachable disposition. Demonstrated ability to ensure all tasks and client needs are anticipated and met promptly, with the utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to develop strong professional relationships. High level of initiative, attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills.
