About the role
Toronto IBI is currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill in part-time and full-time Instructor Therapist positions in the North York area. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in a home, school/daycare setting, or at our center-based locations while employing IBI/ABA teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist. Candidates may be required to travel throughout the GTA to meet the needs of a diverse clientele. Successful candidates must collaborate with other team members in the consistent implementation of a student's behavioural programs and procedures, maintain regular communication with parents as required, and participate in scheduled team meetings and training conferences as required.
Successful candidates should possess
A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with other team members A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle or another reliable method of transportation (when travel is required) Experience as an Instructor Therapist (IT) implementing ABA/IBI programming is an asset (training will be provided as required)
ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset. Successful candidates are required to complete a criminal background check (with Vulnerable Sector).
