Specific Position Duties

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to inclusive education, coordinating supports for diverse learners through strong instructional practice in Senior High Humanities, including English Language Arts and Social Studies
• An understanding of, and commitment to, applying Foundational Knowledge about First Nations, Métis, and Inuit
• Experience with, or comfort using, Google Classroom and educational technology to support student learning
• Flexibility and a willingness to teach other subjects as assigned

Qualifications and General Duties

The successful candidate will possess:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• A student-centered philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices
• Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning
• The ability to foster positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging for students
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
• A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
• Experience in supporting school-based Inclusive Learning programming, including collaboration with teachers, families, and student support teams, would be considered an asset. A willingness to learn and contribute to this area of the school would also be valued.
• A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community would be considered an asset

is a vibrant Kindergarten to Grade 12 school serving approximately 175 students in the rural community of The school offers comprehensive programming supported through Distance Learning and Lakeland CTS opportunities, with a strong focus on academics, student engagement, and extracurricular participation.
