Position Summary
We are seeking energetic, customer-focused individuals to join our Food & Beverage team as Concession Workers. In this role, you will be an important part of creating an exceptional guest experience during concerts, hockey games, conventions, and special events. The successful candidate will prepare and serve food and beverages, process transactions, maintain food safety standards, and deliver friendly, efficient service in a high-volume environment. This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$21.00 CAD and is tip eligible.

About The Venue
Spanning more than nine acres, the South Okanagan Events Centre Complex is home to some of the region's largest sporting events, concerts, trade shows, and community celebrations. The complex features over 95,000 square feet of event space and three ice sheets and includes the South Okanagan Events Centre, Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, Memorial Arena, and Okanagan Hockey School Training Centre.

Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service in a welcoming and professional manner. Take guest orders, process payments, and accurately operate point-of-sale systems. Prepare and assemble concession food items efficiently and according to presentation standards. Serve beverages, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly and in accordance with provincial regulations. Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age verification requirements. Maintain inventory levels and notify supervisors of low-stock items. Ensure workstations, equipment, and service areas remain clean, organized, and sanitized. Follow all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional service during high-attendance events. Assist with opening, restocking, and closing duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, retail, or customer service is considered an asset but not required. Cash handling and point-of-sale experience is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Reliable, dependable, and able to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food service operations. Serving It Right certification is considered an asset but is not required.
