About the role
Help Power the Production Floor and Keep Materials Moving
The Warehouse & Inventory Lead is responsible for ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time. This role oversees all warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, material movement, shipping and receiving, and ERP inventory transactions while supporting production and purchasing.
Success in this role means maintaining accurate inventory, minimizing production delays, improving warehouse organization, and creating efficient material flow throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Oversee the daily operation of the warehouse with guidance from the Warehouse Supervisor. Organize warehouse layouts to maximize efficiency and accessibility. Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas. Ensure materials are stored correctly and identified with proper labeling. Develop and maintain warehouse standards and procedures. Coordinate warehouse priorities with Production and Purchasing.
Inventory Management
Own inventory accuracy across all inventory locations. Complete regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts. Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes. Maintain inventory integrity through accurate ERP transactions. Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or overstock situations. Recommend inventory process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency. Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented.
ERP & Business Systems
Perform inventory receipts, transfers, adjustments, and issues within the ERP system. Maintain accurate inventory records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or equivalent ERP). Ensure transactions are completed in real time to maintain inventory accuracy. Support Purchasing by confirming receipts and identifying discrepancies. Assist with improving warehouse and inventory workflows within the ERP system.
Shipping & Receiving
Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and condition. Coordinate incoming deliveries with suppliers and carriers. Prepare outbound shipments for customers, vendors, and other Kinetic locations. Complete shipping documentation and freight paperwork. Work with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Resolve shipping discrepancies or damaged freight.
Material Flow & Production Support
Pick and stage production materials according to work orders. Ensure production teams receive materials on time. Coordinate movement of materials between departments. Return unused materials to inventory accurately. Support production by responding quickly to material requests. Help identify bottlenecks affecting material availability.
Forklift & Equipment Operation
Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment. Perform daily equipment inspections. Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and reported when repairs are required. Follow all company safety procedures.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency. Recommend improvements to inventory control processes. Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives. Reduce wasted movement and improve warehouse organization. Develop standard operating procedures for warehouse activities.
Leadership
Lead by example through professionalism and accountability. Support and train warehouse team members. Assist with onboarding new employees. Help establish priorities and assign work when required. Foster collaboration between Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with inventory management and inventory control. Experience using an ERP system. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification). Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Experience implementing warehouse process improvements. Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience. Supervisory or team lead experience.
