About the role
Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role serves as the central point of communication between internal departments—including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics—as well as customers and external suppliers. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities Project Management Manage multiple projects from award through final delivery. Develop project schedules, milestones, and resource plans. Monitor project performance and proactively address risks, delays, or scope changes. Ensure projects meet customer expectations, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Facilitate project kickoff meetings and regular project status reviews.
Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate activities between Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, Logistics, and Quality. Ensure materials, drawings, documentation, and production schedules remain aligned. Track project milestones and communicate changes to stakeholders. Assist departments in resolving project roadblocks.
Customer Communication Act as the primary customer contact throughout project execution. Provide regular project updates and progress reports. Manage customer expectations regarding schedule, deliverables, and project changes. Coordinate customer change requests and ensure proper documentation.
Schedule Management Monitor schedules and identify potential delays early. Coordinate corrective actions when projects fall behind schedule. Support continuous improvement of project planning processes.
Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate project documentation. Track project KPIs including schedule performance, budget performance, change orders, and customer satisfaction. Prepare management reports and project summaries. Maintain project records within ERP and project management systems.
Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve project execution. Support implementation of standardized project management practices. Participate in process improvement initiatives across the organization. Help improve communication between departments.
Required Qualifications Post-secondary education in PMP Certifications, Operations Management, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3–5 years of Project Management experience. Strong organizational and project coordination skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Experience Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy equipment, transportation, or industrial environments. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or working toward certification. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies. Knowledge of engineering drawings, manufacturing workflows, and production scheduling. Experience with Business Central, SAP, Epicor, or similar ERP platforms.

Schedule & Work Details Hours: Full-time, 8:00 - 4:30 PM Location: Penticton, BC Environment: Industrial manufacturing environment, shop floor and office.
