About the role
POSITION SUMMARY The Wapiti Regional Office provides operational and administrative services to 44 public libraries across the Wapiti Region. Located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, the Regional Office is a non-public service hub, operating weekdays, during the day. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Clerk III/ Driver duties include managing material flow to branch libraries and maintaining schedules, inventory, statistics, and reports. Processing automated notices, maintaining patron registration and troubleshooting branch and patron issues. Deliver mail, interlibrary loans, and block exchanges to branches, including but not limited to, sorting branch to branch mail, picking up and dropping off bins at branch libraries, and unloading the delivery van at the end of each days run. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLSCompletion of grade twelve (12), valid Saskatchewan drivers license (candidates interviewed will be asked to provide a current driving record), ability to repetitively lift 45 lbs/20.4 kg on a daily basis, proficient computer skills and keyboarding, knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Email), good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work cooperatively and be diplomatic and flexible, ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Ability to present an acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check before being offered a position at Wapiti Regional Library. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGLibrary Technician Diploma or library experience is an asset, as is experience with integrated library systems (i.e. Polaris and Leap).
