We're looking for a detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to help protect our members and the Credit Union from financial fraud. In this role, you'll monitor fraud alerts, investigate suspicious activity, analyze emerging fraud trends, and continuously improve fraud detection and response processes. Combining strong analytical skills with a member-first approach, you'll work across the organization to reduce risk, enhance fraud prevention, and support members when they need us most.
In this role, you'll
Monitor fraud alerts and investigate suspicious activity across a variety of payment channels to protect our members and the Credit Union. Respond to fraud incidents by analyzing transactions, making risk-based decisions, and taking appropriate action to prevent losses. Support members impacted by fraud by providing clear guidance, compassionate service, and timely resolution throughout the investigation process. Identify opportunities to strengthen fraud detection, investigation, and prevention processes while helping develop and maintain best practices. Build strong relationships with third-party fraud partners, monitor vendor performance, and collaborate to ensure effective fraud prevention services. Promote fraud awareness by educating employees and members on emerging fraud trends and prevention strategies. Maintain detailed investigation records, prepare fraud-related reports, and assist with insurance claims and regulatory reporting as required.
What You Bring
3-5 years of experience in fraud analysis, risk management, or a related financial services role. Strong knowledge of digital banking channels, payment systems, and fraud detection and investigation practices. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation, or a willingness to obtain the designation. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced, high-risk situations. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex situations clearly and provide empathetic support to members. High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. A collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and delivering an exceptional member experience.
