Role Summary
We are seeking a Product Owner for the Dayforce HR and Pay Data Conversion product. This role will own backlog refinement, feature prioritization, requirements alignment, and stakeholder coordination for product capabilities that support data transformation, conversion readiness, validation, reconciliation, and delivery execution.
This is a technically oriented Product Owner role requiring strong architecture awareness, full stack delivery experience, and the ability to work confidently across product, engineering, DevOps, data conversion, QA, implementation partners, and project leadership. The ideal candidate can translate business and project needs into clear product features, understand solution design implications, manage changing requirements, and help delivery teams focus on the highest value work.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Own, maintain, and refine the product backlog for the Dayforce HR and Pay Data Conversion product. Translate product roadmap items, business needs, technical requirements, conversion findings, and stakeholder feedback into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery ready backlog items. Prioritize features and backlog items based on business value, technical risk, delivery milestones, dependencies, stakeholder impact, and team capacity. Partner with architecture, engineering, data conversion, QA, DevOps, implementation partners, and project leadership to clarify scope, design considerations, dependencies, and delivery sequencing. Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demos, release planning, and other Agile delivery activities. Map requirements to product capabilities, workflows, data transformation rules, validation needs, reporting needs, DevOps processes, and operational outcomes. Assess the impact of new or changing requirements on architecture, technical design, backlog priorities, delivery timelines, and conversion readiness. Communicate priorities, technical trade offs, delivery risks, decisions, and progress clearly to business, technical, vendor, and leadership audiences. Review completed work against acceptance criteria and confirm readiness for stakeholder review, release, or conversion cycle use. Help identify gaps, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and decisions that may affect product delivery or conversion readiness. Support continuous improvement of product quality, delivery predictability, engineering practices, stakeholder alignment, and product value.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate combines product ownership discipline with strong technical judgment. They can understand complex architecture and data transformation needs, organize them into a clear and prioritized backlog, and guide teams through delivery decisions. They are comfortable working hands on with technical teams, challenging assumptions, managing trade offs, and communicating clearly with both engineering and leadership audiences.
Required Experience
Experience as a Product Owner, Solution Architect, Senior Technical Project Manager, or similar technical delivery leadership role. Strong technical background with experience developing or leading solutions across the full stack, including Python, TypeScript, React, and MS SQL Server. Strong understanding of solution architecture, application design, data flows, APIs, databases, integration patterns, and technical delivery dependencies. Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, environment management, release coordination, deployment pipelines, source control, and delivery automation. Experience with ETL, data transformation, data conversion, modernization, migration, or system implementation projects. Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including backlog refinement, user story development, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and sprint based delivery. Ability to translate business and technical requirements into actionable delivery work for cross functional teams. Ability to manage changing requirements and reprioritize work while maintaining alignment to product outcomes, architecture direction, and delivery commitments. Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work across business, technical, vendor, and leadership groups. Strong communication, facilitation, analytical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115000 - $165000. This Role is an existing vacancy
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting enterprise data conversion, integration, implementation, or platform modernization initiatives. Experience with data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, data quality, reporting, and operational readiness. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar delivery and documentation platforms. Experience working with implementation partners, vendors, or distributed delivery teams. Product Owner, Agile, Scrum, Architecture, Cloud, DevOps, or related certification.
