GENERAL SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary
Oversees the management teams and directs the overall operations and maintenance of assigned territory or metro area within the FedEx Express (FXE) network. Leads the respective management teams to ensure proper utilization of staffing and all safety, service, quality, compliance and performance standards are met. Plans, establishes and executes business objectives to meet all operational goals.

CONNAISSANCES, COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES REQUISES

Diplôme de premier cycle universitaire ou l’équivalent

Six (6) années d’expérience requises en direction opérationnelle, dont quatre (4) ans à un poste de direction ou de niveau comparable.

Une expérience dans divers lieux et opérations de terrain est préférable.

Des compétences efficaces en communication verbale et écrite sont nécessaires pour expliquer des informations complexes et/ou confidentielles.

Des compétences en gestion du temps et en organisation sont nécessaires pour gérer plusieurs projets, prioriser la charge de travail de manière appropriée, planifier les ressources pour respecter les échéances et les objectifs, et répondre aux besoins fonctionnels quotidiens.

Capacité à prendre des décisions stratégiques et tactiques judicieuses là où des directives établies pourraient ne pas exister.

Capacité à anticiper et à identifier les problèmes et à utiliser un jugement sûr et une analyse factuelle pour élaborer des solutions efficaces et efficientes. Capacité à inspirer une vision partagée et à autonomiser et motiver une équipe.

Capacité à encadrer, à coacher et à agir en tant que ressource de connaissances pour les autres employés.

Compréhension approfondie des concepts, des pratiques, des politiques et des procédures liés aux opérations de terrain, au transport de ligne et aux relations avec les sous-traitants de FedEx Express.

Compétences logicielles, y compris l’utilisation des logiciels Microsoft Office et des applications Web.

Effectuer d’autres tâches selon les besoins.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) or equivalent

Six (6) years' experience required in operational leadership with, Four (4) of those years at senior management or comparable level.

Experience in a variety of field locations and operations is preferred.

Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/ or confidential information.

Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.

Ability to make sound strategic and tactical decisions where established guidelines may not exist.

Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgement and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.

Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team.

Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.

Thorough understanding of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to FedEx Express field operations, linehaul, and contractor relations.

Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.

Perform other duties as assigned.
