MIDWEST MEIDL COLLISION CENTREis growing, and we are looking for a licensed Journeyman Autobody Technician to join our team!

The AutoBody Technician is responsible for:

• Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages
• Return the vehicle back to factory specifications
• Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body
• Properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair
• Remove damaged parts using appropriate tools
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
• Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
• Aim headlights
• Replace bolts on panels and align properly
• Make cosmetic repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job
• Able to repair Aluminum damage as per OEM procedure

The candidate will:

• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Have knowledge of and the ability to operate machinery and tools required to complete repairs
• Work individually and as part of a team
• Have a high level of integrity and work ethic

Designations/Training/Experience Requirements:

• Auto Body Technician journeyman/journeywoman ticket

• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset

• I-CAR certifications and training

• Mitchell estimating program knowledge considered an asset

• Aluminum training/experience

• Driver's Licence (Required)

• Own tools
