Acting as a key representative of the brand on the road, this role ensures timely, professional, and compliant delivery of goods to customers through exceptional customer service. When not on delivery routes, this position supports warehouse operations including receiving, processing, and preparing shipments with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and safety. This role is essential to maintaining smooth logistics flow and supporting business functions that rely on precise inventory and timely distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery Operations Safely operate a company-owned vehicle to complete scheduled deliveries in a timely manner Serve as a professional and reliable representative of Open Fields Distribution during all customer interactions Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company delivery procedures Ensure all deliveries are accurate, properly documented, and completed with required signatures Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or issues Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, kept clean daily, and treated with care at all times.
Warehouse Operations
Verify inbound shipments prior to acceptance: Match shipment documentation to physical goods Count and confirm quantities Verify product codes and SKUs Inspect incoming goods for damage and report discrepancies to the Warehouse leadership Assist with scheduling inbound and outbound shipments Break down vendor shipments and sort products accurately for distribution Perform quality checks on outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare shipping documentation, including waybills and bills of lading Maintain organized inventory and support inventory control processes General Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment Support dispatch and logistics coordination as required Accurately complete paperwork and maintain records for tracking and reporting Assist with loading and unloading shipments, including repetitive heavy lifting Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as required and trained Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and workflow Education, Training and Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in delivery driving and/or warehouse operations Strong understanding of logistics, shipping documentation, and inventory processes Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) Basic computer skills (email, Excel, mobile applications) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Working Conditions Regular lifting and moving of items up to 50 lbs Work performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and equipment Driving required for extended periods during delivery shifts Overtime may be required based on operational needs Basic Qualifications Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract Clear Criminal Record Check CannaSell Cannabis Certification Smartphone with data plan and car charger (required for delivery applications) Comfortable using mobile apps and technology for delivery tracking and communication The FIKA Company respects the diversity of the people it hires and serves.
