THE POSITION
The Quality Measurement Asset Performance Engineer is a technical expert responsible for advancing product quality, measurement systems, and data driven performance across the business. This role combines engineering expertise, and analytical rigor to optimize systems, improve data integrity, and unlock commercial value.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Apply advanced analytical and engineering expertise to solve complex problems.
- Translate technical concepts into actionable insights for internal business stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of measurement and quality data
- Leverage data analytics to support decision making and performance optimization.
- Challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and execution of documented processes and procedures to support disciplined execution, clarity and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document, standardize, and enhance quality measurement systems, models, and methodologies.
- Develop and implement quality measurement KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
- Advance measurement data analytics, automation, and reporting capabilities.
- Provide technical oversight of measurement tools and vendor performance.
- Monitor quality system performance and implement data driven improvements.
- Strengthen data governance, transparency, and consistency.
- Identify and support execution of margin and efficiency opportunities.
- Act as SME for quality measurement in capital and operational projects.
- Review technical documentation (e.g., process diagrams, control narratives).
- Develop and maintain standards, specifications, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process or related), Chemistry or Technical discipline.
- 10 plus years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Communication Skills
- Ability to influence, lead initiatives, and work across functional teams.
- Communicate complex technical data to internal stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise
- Understanding chemical and process engineering principles.
- Data analytics, modeling, and performance optimization experience.
- Knowledge of measurement systems and quality management.
- Attention to detail.
- Focus on accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Review and interpret data accurately to drive decision making.
NICE TO HAVE
- Understanding of midstream lab analysis standards and product quality processes.
- Experience with data analytics tools: Power Bi and data bricks.
- Modeling experience.
