Role Overview We’re seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to the highest industry standards, ensuring exceptional vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. A passion for the outdoors and off-roading is a bonus!
Key Responsibilities
Technical Duties: Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately in line with company and manufacturer standards. Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) for new vehicles, ensuring compliance with OEM requirements. Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, recommending solutions to Service Advisors. Identify additional service needs during vehicle inspections and communicate them promptly. Keep detailed, accurate records of work performed. Conduct road tests as needed to verify repairs. Stay updated with training on the latest technical advancements and share knowledge with team members. Provide mentorship and support for Apprentice Technicians. Carry out routine tasks such as lubrication, fluid inspections, and filter replacements. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with safety regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Logistical Duties: Ensure the shop and work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with company standards. Safeguard and account for company tools and equipment. Adhere to regulations governing automotive repair and consumer protection.
Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Minimum 3 years working with European vehicle brands. Efficiency: Complete repairs and tasks accurately and within specified timelines. Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers. Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills. Attention to Detail: Ensure all documentation and DMS entries are precise and accurate. Adaptability: Handle evolving tasks, new technologies, and occasional urgent requests with ease. Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing training and skill development. Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Work Environment: Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting moderate weights. Conditions: Exposure to shop noise, with occasional after-hours or outdoor work. Stress Management: Handle deadlines, emergency situations, and occasional interactions with upset customers. Safety: Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety standards.
Performance Expectations: Deliver high-quality work with no repeat repairs ("comebacks"). Complete tasks on schedule with a focus on customer satisfaction. Maintain strong teamwork and interpersonal relationships with customers and colleagues. Contribute to a positive work environment through professionalism and dependability.
