CareGivers, a program within Brightisle, has been providing quality care to families and individuals throughout the island portion of Newfoundland and Labrador for nearly 30 years! CareGivers goal is to help keeppeople happy and healthy in their own homes by providing person-centered, safe, reliable, and professional home health services.
As our new Scheduling Coordinator, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero, making sure the right care teams are in the right place at the right time. You’ll manage schedules, arrange shift coverage, handle time-off requests, prep payroll, and support staff with day-to-day scheduling needs.
You’ll also take part in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours scheduling support—because care doesn’t stop at 5 p.m., and neither do we!
What will you bring?
Experience in scheduling or coordination (bonus if it’s in a unionized or health care setting) Great organizational and multitasking skills Calm, creative problem-solving under pressure Strong communication and tech skills (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and the ability and motivation to learn new software/applications. A team spirit and a sense of humour never hurt either!
