About the role
Your Opportunity:
This casual Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician position supports MDR Day Procedures across Endoscopy, OR MDR, and Main MDR, with potential opportunities for training in rural MDR sites within the Southwest Corridor.
Description:
As a Surgical Processor, you will be responsible for the decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentation. You will use the principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions in the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). You will ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order, perform biological, chemical and quality assurance testing and report problems to the supervisor or designate.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of an Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.

As required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and well-developed critical thinking skills. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, contributing positively within a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing growth and continuous improvement of MDRT skills. Additional certification through CSA or HSPA is considered an asset.
