About the role
Historica is looking for a skilled tradesperson to join our maintenance and development team!
Position Description
You will report to and work with our Maintenance Supervisor daily. You will be responsible for addressing tenant maintenance requests. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm. The occasional evening and weekend may also be required to meet deadlines.
Skills Required
- Effective communication skills
- Listens and takes direction well
- Attention to detail
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and maintenance
- Working knowledge and experience operating tools and equipment
- Strong hands-on skills
- The ability to work well independently and with others
- The ability to solve problems
- Heavy lifting of more than 50lbs may be required in some cases The main responsibilities for this position will be:
- General, preventative, and corrective maintenance
- Repairs, carpentry, crack filling, drywall, painting, and the like
- Working with a team to update residential and commercial spaces
- Installation of appliances Compensation & Benefits: Compensation will be commensurate with your level of experience.
