Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Power BI/DAX Expert - Banking. This is a senior-level position focused on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality dashboards, reports, and data-driven solutions for strategic projects. The role involves close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to revamp reporting systems, primarily within the Payment Execution Engine project, supporting AI-driven initiatives and data pipelines.

Pay rate range (CAD): $65.00/hr – $70.00/hr

Responsibilities

Partner with Scrum Master daily to provide project updates and coordinate delivery. Collaborate with Solution Designers to ensure technical solutions meet business needs. Work with Business Systems Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective Power BI reports. Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. Build data pipelines and support AI-related reporting initiatives, including LLM integrations. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders. Support REST API and SDK integrations within Power BI solutions. Take ownership of deliverables and manage tasks through completion.

Desired Skill-Set

5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience. Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard and report creation. Advanced knowledge of DAX. Experience with REST APIs and SDKs. Knowledge of Azure services is preferred. Programming experience in Node.js or Golang; candidates with Java or C# willing to learn Node.js/Golang will also be considered. Ability to build data pipelines and support AI/ML integrations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

Industry experience in Capital Markets or Wealth Management. Experience in banking or financial services. Familiarity with Power BI embedding and Github Copilot integrations. Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of UI/UX principles for dashboard design.
