About the role
TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a Salesforce Business Analyst Duration : This is a 4.5 month contract located in Toronto Job Description Typical Day in Role:
- Ensure business and system requirements are clearly, accurately, and thoroughly documented for both system and process changes, delivering consistent value to the end-user experience
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models is required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and subject matter experts, gathering requirements and effectively managing expectations
- Manage timely and effective communications with business stakeholders, and design and deliver training and development programs to support user learning and adoption of Salesforce enhancements
- Prepare, execute, and support functional and end-to-end test cases, leveraging industry best practices and Salesforce-specific standards
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, change adoption, and KPIs to ensure successful delivery of change initiatives
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the product backlog, working closely with project teams to ensure business requirements are translated into the right digital technology solutions
- Support project teams in resolving delivery roadblocks, minimizing disruption to critical business processes
- Manage the timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks across all phases of the project lifecycle—from concept through implementation.
- Activities include task tracking, process mapping, requirements and user story documentation, testing coordination, stakeholder and vendor liaison, and execution of communication plans
- Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of unresolved issues, risks, dependencies, and deviations from project timelines
- Provide support and guidance during test validations, implementation, and transition to steady-state operations
- Contribute to required Enterprise Delivery Framework artifacts to initiate projects and secure funding, including support for business cases, cost/benefit analysis, and benefit realization tracking
Must have requirements:
- 8 years of experience as a business analyst within the Financial Services industry, with a strong preference for Wealth Management exposure, and at least 3 years of experience in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including the ability to assume end-to-end ownership on behalf of the Product Owner during project execution, knowing when to assume responsibility for the related project deliverables, or seeking approval
- Manage timely and accurate delivery of tasks for assigned projects through all stages of the project life cycle from concept to implementation. E.g., track tasks, map process flows, document requirements/stories, testing, liaise with Business, Development and Vendors, communication plan execution, etc., ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed of all unresolved issues, other areas of concern and any other deviations from project timelines
- Hands-on experience with SOQL scripting, (including data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting) and ETL and integration tools, such as: o Salesforce Data Loader o Talend o MuleSoft
- At least one active Salesforce certification obtained prior to joining (certifications will be verified), including one or more of the following: o Salesforce Certified Administrator o Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder o Salesforce Certified Developer I o Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
Nice to have skills.
- Experience with both functional and non-functional testing, specifically on the Salesforce platform
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA/Confluence
- Demonstrate ability to prepare testing-related documents such as test plans, test cases, traceability matrix, test data spreadsheets, test execution reports etc.
Soft skills:
- Working knowledge of software delivery methodologies, including release management, change management, and training/support models
- Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, delivery methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), and expected outputs at each phase
- Highly analytical and solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the drive to move initiatives forward
- A creative, self-starting, and results-oriented mindset, with high motivation and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal communication and business writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels within a cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated experience working with a technology product end to end, from discovery and requirements through delivery and implementation
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- At least one active Salesforce certification obtained prior to joining (certifications will be verified), including one or more of the following: o Salesforce Certified Administrator o Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder o Salesforce Certified Developer I o Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA/Confluence
