About the role
Role: Tax Accountant - EA /CPA (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $20 - $30/hour
Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Tax Professional (EA / CPA) to assist with federal and state tax filings, including individual and business returns. The role requires preparation of accurate tax documents and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations in all filings.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with tax standards.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax information and clarify discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software such as TurboTax, Drake, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
