About The Role
Pearce Service Canada is seeking a UPS Senior Field Technician for the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas, with a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to succeed and learn new skills. As a Technician, you will directly support our customers in the onsite preventive, corrective, and restorative maintenance of their critical power systems (i.e., UPS, DC systems, inverters, PDUs, STS, and standalone reserve battery technologies). As a UPS Field Technician for Pearce, you will possess and utilize the 'hit-the-ground-running' and 'think-outside-the-box' mentalities that drive swift and superb solutions to address our customers' needs.
What You’ll Do
Commissioning, maintenance and emergency services and repair on UPS system at customer sites Battery replacements, load testing and battery maintenance will also be required Participate in the development of Methods of Procedures (MOP), when required Participate in regular training sessions held at the company's headquarters and in the UPS utilizing test equipment to enhance trouble-shooting skills Discuss problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment, with in-house and OEM technical support, when necessary Communicate with customer site personnel to keep them apprised of all onsite or equipment related issues

2-3 years of job-related experience working in the critical power industry with UPS, DC Power Systems and/or OEM experience Technical degree or certificate Advanced ability to troubleshoot faults to component level on equipment such as UPS systems, batteries, DC power systems, PDU’s, Inverter Systems, etc. Knowledge of equipment manufacturers (OEM) specifications Capable of utilizing hand tools and test equipment to perform work Excellent verbal & written communication skills Extremely customer service oriented Ability to work independently and resourceful with good initiative and discipline Must be able to perform repeated bending & lifting of up to 100 pounds during certain services Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Must be willing to travel, work nights and weekends when necessary, and be available for on-call readiness 24/7 with occasional periods of extended travel. Must be willing to apply for Security Clearance with Provincial and Federal Government.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the position is $85,000-$120,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
