Kayak Instructor Location: Hawrelak Park, Edmonton, AB Employment Type: Seasonal | Full-Time & Part-Time Love being outdoors? Enjoy meeting new people? Spend your summer on the water with Hawrelak Recreation Co. We're looking for energetic, outgoing, and reliable individuals to join our team as Kayak Instructors. Previous kayaking or customer service experience is appreciated but not required. If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people, and are eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide an exceptional customer experience. Conduct safety briefings before guests head onto the water. Help guests get in and out of kayaks and paddleboards safely. Ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use. Monitor the dock and rental area to maintain a safe environment. Assist with check-ins, reservations, and general daily operations. Answer guest questions and represent Hawrelak Recreation Co. with professionalism and enthusiasm. What We're Looking For A friendly, energetic, and vibrant personality. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and a willingness to learn. Ability to lift and carry kayaks weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs). Weekend and holiday availability is preferred. Previous experience in kayaking, outdoor recreation, retail, hospitality, or customer service is an asset, but not required. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay. Flexible scheduling.
