Role Description The Insurance Sales Representative (RIBO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Ajax, ON. This role involves advising clients on personal and commercial insurance options, assessing their coverage needs, and recommending appropriate products through the brokerage’s carrier partners. The representative will handle incoming inquiries, provide quotes, process new policies, renewals, and endorsements, and ensure accurate documentation in brokerage systems. Daily responsibilities include delivering high-quality customer service, following up on leads, conducting policy reviews, and supporting clients with claims-related questions and guidance. The role also includes meeting sales targets, staying current with industry trends and company offerings, and adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Insurance Sales and Sales skills, including prospecting, needs-based selling, and closing techniques. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on relationship building, active listening, and responsive problem-solving. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage practices, including policy structures, underwriting basics, and regulatory requirements. Valid RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license or eligibility to obtain one in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain coverage options clearly and professionally. Proficiency with office and insurance management software, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented, client-focused environment and to meet individual and branch sales objectives. Previous experience in personal lines or commercial lines insurance is an asset; additional language skills are considered beneficial.
