We invite applications for the position of:
- 1.0 FTE Grades K-12 Psychologist
- 2 Positions
- This role is a Position of Special Responsibility and includes an allowance as per the collective agreement.
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum requirement of a Master's Degree in School Psychology or related field, with a focus on School Psychology, including graduate training and recent experience with administration, scoring and interpretation of up to and including Level C Cognitive, Academic, and Socio-emotional measures as part of the psycho-educational assessment process
- Eligible for membership with the BC Association of School Psychologists or registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia
- Demonstrated ability to provide consultation with parents, teachers and School Based Teams regarding student strengths and needs, educational implications and related strategies in line with RTI and Universal Design for Learning frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to provide in-service on assessment as well as strategies and interventions in line with the principles of Inclusive Education
- Knowledge of the BC Ministry of Education Special Education Policies and Procedures
- A valid BC Driver's Licence and vehicle as travel throughout the district is required
- School psychologists must be licensed with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
