The Farm Operation Supervisor – Greenhouse Harvest and Crop Handling is a hands-on leader responsible for supervising daily greenhouse harvest and directly related crop handling activities. This role coordinates workers involved in harvesting, trimming, sorting, drying preparation, organizing, and moving harvested crop material through the required post-harvest crop handling stages.
The Supervisor ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, sanitation requirements, biosecurity protocols, quality expectations, and standard operating procedures. The role also supports worker training, task assignment, daily progress tracking, communication with management, and coordination between cultivation, harvest, drying, and crop handling teams.
Success in this role requires strong communication, practical greenhouse and crop handling experience, attention to detail, and the ability to lead workers on the floor while supporting quality, productivity, and a respectful workplace culture.
This role is based at our Pacifica facility in Delta, BC, and reports to the Cultivation Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising, coordinating, and assigning daily work activities to greenhouse labourers, harvesting labourers, and crop handling workers involved in greenhouse harvest and directly related post-harvest crop handling activities. Ensuring harvest and crop handling tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards, crop handling procedures, sanitation requirements, and applicable quality standards. Supervising and supporting the handling of harvested crop material, including receiving harvested plant material from cultivation areas, preparing crop material for drying, organizing crop material by batch or harvest group, and ensuring proper handling to maintain crop quality. Supervising trimming, sorting, bucking, hanging, drying preparation, and other directly related post-harvest crop handling activities, where these duties remain connected to greenhouse crop production and harvesting. Coordinating daily workflow in harvest and crop handling areas to ensure harvested material is handled in a timely manner and in alignment with greenhouse production and harvest schedules. Monitoring the condition and quality of harvested crop material during handling and promptly reporting concerns such as contamination risks, quality concerns, damage, pest concerns, moisture issues, or process deviations to management. Providing hands-on training and guidance to workers on proper harvest procedures, crop handling techniques, safe equipment use, sanitation procedures, biosecurity requirements, health and safety procedures, and company standard operating procedures. Supporting the implementation and enforcement of health and safety procedures, sanitation standards, biosecurity protocols, crop handling requirements, quality assurance requirements related to crop handling, and company policies. Inspecting greenhouse harvest areas, crop handling areas, drying preparation areas, tools, equipment, carts, bins, trays, and workstations regularly to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with operational standards. Tracking daily harvest progress, crop handling progress, labour output, task completion, and movement of harvested crop material, and reporting updates or concerns to management. Supporting shift coordination by helping ensure adequate staffing levels and proper allocation of workers based on harvest volumes, crop handling needs, and daily operational priorities. Assisting with inventory tracking of crop handling supplies, tools, sanitation materials, bins, trays, labels, and other supplies directly related to greenhouse harvest and crop handling, and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished. Supporting the maintenance of crop handling areas, tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas by reporting deficiencies, damage, repair needs, or sanitation concerns to management. Assisting with coordination between cultivation, harvest, drying, and crop handling teams to ensure harvested crop material moves efficiently through each stage of the post-harvest crop handling process. Promoting teamwork, respectful communication, productivity, and a positive workplace culture among crew members. Performing other farm supervisory, greenhouse harvest, and crop handling duties as required, provided they remain within the scope of greenhouse crop production, harvesting, directly related post-harvest crop handling, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. 1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience. English language required. Spanish/Castilian is considered an asset.

Hourly wage: $21.50 to $22.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Eligible for performance-based bonus consideration. Comprehensive medical and dental benefits after three months of employment. Free on-site parking including complementary EV charging.
