Job Information: We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Junior Business Development Representative to support our retail sales teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to break into media sales, gain hands-on experience, and learn the ropes of business development in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do…
- Qualify inbound leads: Assess incoming inquiries and determine fit based on campaign goals and budget.
- New client setup and onboarding: Once a lead is qualified, create the new client account, send creative specifications, communicate production timelines, and provide billing and payment information to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Check inventory availability: Work with internal systems and tools to confirm ad space availability across formats and locations.
- Build client proposals: Put together advertising proposals using templates, marketing research and creative assets.
- Cold-call local businesses: Reach out to small and medium-sized businesses to introduce our offerings and generate interest.
- Follow up on leads: Proactively follow up on outstanding proposals and warm opportunities to drive closure.
- Support closing reps: Set the stage for senior reps by prepping clients and flagging qualified, ready-to-close deals.
- Assist with creative requests: Work with the creative team to help clients get what they need for a smooth campaign launch.
- Assist with additional sales tasks: Support senior sales reps with a variety of sales-related activities such as campaign setup, reporting, and research, to gain exposure and build foundational sales skills.
- Maintain organized records: Update CRM tools and internal tracking sheets to ensure visibility and handoff to the sales team.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Quick thinker who can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident on the phone; comfortable cold-calling and handling objections
- Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); CRM experience a bonus
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and eager to learn
