Certification in Fetal Health Surveillance (Canadian) is required Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation is required. Current or within two years Maternal and Child experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with current labour and delivery experience. Perinatal Certificate or equivalent Breastfeeding Certificate Preference will be given to candidates with a Perinatal Peri-operative certificate or experience (within 2 years) Demonstrated interest and knowledge in family centred maternity care. Demonstrated ability to function in emergency situations. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated excellence in communication skills. Demonstrated clinical assessment and family/patient teaching skills. Demonstrated skill and knowledge in I.V. Therapy is required. Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability. Experience supporting families with breastfeeding. Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considers safety of self and co-workers.
