Job summary

An established, growing specialty dessert retailer is expanding in Ontario and seeking a passionate, people-focused Store Manager to lead one of its new locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a retail leader who loves building teams, creating memorable guest experiences, and bringing a high-quality, feel-good brand to life in a new market. The Store Manager will play an important role in shaping the culture, energy, and standards of the location from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, positive, hands-on, and proud to create an environment where people feel supported, customers feel welcomed, and the brand is represented with care and consistency. Salary Range: $60,000 to $65,000 base plus bonus Description Lead daily store operations, ensuring a smooth, organized, and consistent customer experience Create an energetic, service-focused environment that reflects the brand’s quality and personality Coach, train, and support team members, including younger employees developing their first workplace skills Build a positive team culture based on respect, accountability, reliability, and pride in the work Ensure product quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently maintained Oversee scheduling, labour planning, breaks, coverage, and day-to-day team communication Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance management Monitor inventory, ordering, product levels, waste, and store supplies Maintain strong operational routines related to opening, closing, cash handling, food safety, and health standards Drive sales through guest engagement, team coaching, upselling, sampling, and local store awareness Resolve guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are handled with care and urgency Work closely with ownership and leadership to support the successful launch and ongoing growth of the Ontario market Act as a brand ambassador in the community, helping build awareness and repeat business Maintain accurate reporting, administrative follow-through, and communication with leadership Requirements Previous experience in retail, food service, café, hospitality, QSR, or customer-facing store management Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a young team A hands-on management style and willingness to be active on the floor Excellent customer service instincts and a genuine enjoyment of working with people Strong organizational skills and the ability to create structure in a busy environment Comfortable managing schedules, inventory, cash procedures, and daily operations Positive, patient, and professional communication style Ability to lead by example and set clear standards for performance and behaviour Food safety awareness and comfort working in a product-quality-driven environment Current Food Handler Certificate recognized in Ontario is a requirement Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods Corporate Culture Opportunity to join a growing specialty retail brand as it expands into Ontario A meaningful leadership role with real impact on team culture and guest experience The chance to help launch and shape a new market presence Supportive ownership and leadership team Positive, product-focused environment with strong customer appeal Competitive compensation based on experience Contact Katelyn Querin at [email protected] or submit your resume in confidence below.
