Job details

This is an opportunity to lead a beautifully positioned specialty retail store where product, service and the in-store experience all matter. Our client is an established premium brand with a strong reputation for quality product, outstanding store design and customer experience. The business has built a loyal following by combining a distinctive product offering with knowledgeable service and a genuine commitment to creating stores people want to return to. They are looking for a store leader who sees retail as more than simply running a location. This person will set the tone for the store, build a high-performing team, develop strong customer relationships and create an environment where people are proud to work, and customers feel genuinely looked after. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, highly engaged on the sales floor and comfortable balancing people leadership, customer experience and operational excellence. Description Lead the overall performance of the store, with accountability for sales, profitability, customer experience and operational standards. Create a strong selling culture where the team understands the product, knows the customer and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Recruit, coach and develop a capable and engaged team, setting clear expectations and creating opportunities for people to grow. Be highly visible on the sales floor, supporting the team, engaging customers and leading by example. Build relationships with repeat customers and strengthen the store's connection to its local market. Use sales results, customer insights and performance trends to identify opportunities and take action. Ensure merchandising, presentation and store standards consistently reflect the positioning of a premium brand. Manage scheduling, payroll, inventory, loss prevention and day-to-day store operations with discipline and attention to detail. Partner with senior leadership and other areas of the business to execute company initiatives while bringing forward ideas and opportunities from the store. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration and pride in the business. Requirements Proven leadership experience within specialty, premium or service-driven retail. A strong track record of driving sales and building high-performing teams. Self-motivated, results-driven, and enthusiastic about selling a quality product. A natural ability to coach, motivate and hold people accountable while creating a positive working environment. Strong commercial instincts and an understanding of the key drivers behind store performance. A genuine interest in customers and the ability to build long-term relationships rather than focusing only on transactions. High standards around presentation, execution and operational discipline. Confidence working independently and making decisions at store level. Energy, initiative and the desire to contribute ideas rather than simply maintain the status quo. Open to working flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A leadership style that is hands-on, approachable and highly engaged with both customers and employees. Corporate Culture Base salary of $58,000 to $68,000, based on experience. Performance-based bonus opportunity. Comprehensive health and dental benefits. RRSP matching programs. Employee assistance program. Wellness program. Employee discount. Our client is committed to providing inclusive and accessible recruitment experience. Accommodation for people with disabilities are available throughout the recruitment process upon request. Contact Pamela Loupelle at 403.214.7578 x1 or submit your resume in confidence below.
