DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Develops patterns for projects or follows directions in given layouts, blueprints and work orders Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch Welds piping, structural steel and components as required May perform other related duties assigned, willing to support other trades as required Requirements Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing Valid B Pressure certificate Need to be sent to CLAC to test for F3/F4 ticket with our weld procedure Valid all positions SMAW CWB ticket Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting Must possess valid CSTS .09 (Construction Safety Training Systems) Tig/Stainless Experience would be considered an asset. Pipeline welding Experience would be considered an asset. Must possess valid government issued photo identification Work Conditions Located in Norman Wells, NWT Charter Flights provided from Edmonton with Additional rotation incentives! Day Shift Position / 11.5 hours of work per day 15/13 Rotation Schedule

What you’ll do

Develop patterns and follow blueprints to weld piping, structural steel, and components. Perform cleaning, defect checking, and shaping of component parts using cutting torches.

Requirements

Must hold an Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyman Welding ticket, a valid B Pressure certificate, and a CWB SMAW ticket. Requires previous industrial welding experience and a valid CSTS .09 certification.
