Cloud Solution Architect

Position: Cloud Solution Architect Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time Total Experience: 10 + years Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure, modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React), and enterprise security including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, SSO, and MFA. You will lead architecture, API security, cloud identity, and DevSecOps initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring developers. Key Responsibilities: • Architect and design modern frontend applications using industry-standard frameworks and best practices. • Define and implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms across applications. • Lead the design and implementation of cloud security controls including identity and access management. • Architect solutions involving MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), SSO (Single Sign-On), and token-based security models. • Design and secure API ecosystems and integrations across enterprise systems. • Provide guidance on tokenization strategies (OAuth2, JWT, Open ID Connect, etc.). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, DevOps) to ensure secure, scalable implementations. • Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments. • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices. • Mentor development teams on secure coding and frontend architecture principles. Required Skills: • Strong experience in frontend technologies (Angular, React, or similar frameworks). • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-native architecture. • Hands-on experience with: Authentication & Authorization frameworks SSO and Identity Federation MFA implementation • Expertise in security protocols and standards: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect SAML JWT token-based authentication • Experience in API design, security, and integrations (REST, API Gateway, etc.). • Solid understanding of tokenization and data protection techniques. • Knowledge of secure application design and DevSecOps practices. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience • Ability to translate business requirements into secure technical solutions • Leadership and mentoring capabilities
