Position: Enterprise Architect – Open Liberty Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 10+ Years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty to lead enterprise application modernization, cloud-native architecture, and migration initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Architect and modernize enterprise applications using Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty. Lead migrations from traditional WebSphere Application Server (WAS) to Open Liberty. Design cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, and Open Liberty. Define scalable, secure, highly available architectures and integration patterns. Drive CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud deployment strategies. Conduct architecture reviews, establish technical standards, and provide technical leadership. Collaborate with business, development, infrastructure, and security teams. Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application environments. Develop architecture documentation, governance frameworks, and technical standards. Required Skills: 10+ years of enterprise application architecture experience. Strong hands-on expertise with Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Application Server. Strong Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, microservices, and REST API experience. Experience with application modernization, cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps. Excellent architecture, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Lead the modernization of enterprise applications and the migration from traditional WebSphere Application Server to Open Liberty. Design scalable cloud-native microservices and establish technical standards and governance frameworks.

Requires over 10 years of experience in enterprise application architecture with deep expertise in Open Liberty and Java. Candidates must be proficient in Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, and DevOps strategies for cloud deployment.
