The Cook prepares and cooks Thai dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and portion sizes. Daily tasks include prepping ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, maintaining food safety and sanitation, and organizing the workstation for efficient service. The Cook collaborates with other kitchen staff to support smooth service during peak hours, communicates any supply or quality issues, and assists with inventory rotation. The role also involves following health and safety regulations, minimizing food waste, and helping with dish plating and occasional menu specials. Qualifications Hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably with Asian or Thai cuisine. Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and safe food handling practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize during busy service times. Attention to detail in food quality, consistency, and presentation. Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic, including willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks safely. Previous culinary training or certification in food safety and hygiene is an asset.
