Position Summary Our Rapid Response Guard is the first on scene for priority calls across our Victoria sites - the most dynamic role on our team, and the highest-paid. This role requires professionalism, strong judgment, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner. Utilize tact and diplomacy while interacting with patrons, clients, and unauthorized individuals. Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive. Maintain and enforce access control procedures, including managing trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair and safe manner. Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property to ensure safety and security. Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and identify potential risks or incidents. Investigate incidents and occurrences and draft detailed incident and occurrence reports. Maintain a detailed memo book and ensure accurate reporting on all matters. De-escalate emergency and crisis situations using sound judgment and communication. Assist emergency responders and law enforcement personnel as required. Provide support with line management, customer service, and daily operations as directed. Required Qualifications Valid BC Security Worker Licence Valid OFA Certificate (OFA 2 preferred) Advanced Security Training (AST) Strong English communication skills (verbal + written reports) Security or customer service experience; internal candidates require 6 months. Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound decisions in high-stress situations Preferred Qualifications Experience in Loss Prevention / Retail Security is an asset. Demonstrated professionalism with the ability to utilize tact and diplomacy on duty. Strong attention to detail, observational awareness, and report writing skills. Ability to retain and apply operational information. Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
