The Equipment Co-op responsibilities will include improvements in equipment management efficiency, development of troubleshooting guides and maintenance plans, implementing tool related aspects of a 5S program, and assisting in the organization and execution of infrastructure upgrades while working with the equipment and facility team. Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. What You Will Experience You will engage in activities that develop practical and transferable skills such as: Assist in equipment efficiency and down time studies Assist in the management of spare parts inventories and sourcing Work with engineers to develop maintenance plans and trouble-shooting procedures Assist with calibration management Assist in the organization and execution of infrastructure projects Develop equipment tracking and management systems Catalog and organize a production hand-tools as part of Kardium’s 5S program Design and implement fixtures and equipment to improve manufacturing processes using CAD software What You Bring to the Team Our Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about creating cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. Compensation Compensation for this role is based on multiple factors including your current year of study, the number of previous co-op terms completed, as well as market data.
