Job summary
KBL is seeking a skilled Labourer to join our projects in the Edmonton area. The Labourer is responsible for supporting operators and supervisors to work safely and efficiently by cleaning the site, moving materials, and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment. Labourers may be responsible for the safe operation of equipment, including rock trucks and packers. Projects may include demolition, remediation, and reclamation projects. Role Responsibilities Cleaning of construction sites. Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment, loading and unloading equipment. Safe and effective operation of heavy equipment. Working with hand tools, moving materials on construction sites, and assisting other workers. Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol. Role Requirements 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. Valid Class 5 driver’s license Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting 55 lbs, confined spaces, heights, extended standing). Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and teamwork skills Must have exceptional verbal communication skills, able to give and receive verbal information and direction in a fast-paced environment Ability and willingness to travel to work locations across Western Canada. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, depending on location. Must be willing to work, day & night shifts, up to 12 hours.
