Under the supervision of the Lead Hand & Facility Manager, the Labourer/Driver must demonstrate strong listening skills, adhere to safety protocols when working with hazardous materials, and operate equipment ranging from small to large sizes. Candidates should possess physical fitness and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Labourers are responsible for managing waste safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Their duties include, but are not limited to, identifying and repackaging waste for transport in compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations, consolidating waste as needed, loading and unloading trucks, pick ups and drop offs, and engaging in physically demanding tasks. What You'll Do Identify, handle, and prepare waste in compliance with relevant legislation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations. Provide exceptional customer service both at KBL and while representing the company in external interactions. Conduct equipment inspections and perform daily maintenance to ensure safe operational standards. Supply the Supervisor with necessary information to complete required documentation. Complete load sheets and inventory reports accurately. Load and unload trailers and manage customer drop-offs effectively. Adhere to Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and report near misses and incidents to the Supervisor promptly. Work independently in remote locations as needed. Operate small to large equipment safely and confidently. Be willing to travel as necessary to fulfill project-related tasks. Positive team player with strong communication skills. Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. What You Need Must have valid class 5 driver's license with clean driving record (Class 3 would be a strong asset) Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
