In order to support the evolution of our business systems, we are looking for an AS/400 Programmer-Analyst who wishes to put his or her expertise at the service of a manufacturing company in constant evolution. The mission we offer you: As an AS/400 Programmer-Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis, development, integration and support of business applications on the IBM i platform (AS/400). You will work in partnership with users to understand their needs, design effective solutions and ensure the maintenance and evolution of our business systems. You will participate in the entire application life cycle, from needs analysis to production, ensuring the quality, performance and reliability of the solutions developed. An Overview Of Your Everyday Life Analyze the business needs of the different departments and recommend appropriate technological solutions. Design, develop, test and maintain applications on the IBM i platform (AS/400). Programming mainly in RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE and SQL. Participate in the evolution and optimization of business systems. Perform functional and technical analyses of change requests. Develop and maintain interfaces between the various internal and external systems. Provide advanced level support to users. Diagnose and resolve application and performance issues. Perform unit, integrated and validation testing. Produce and maintain technical and functional documentation. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with IT teams, business users and external partners. You are the ideal candidate if you have: A DEC or bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis and development on IBM i (AS/400). Excellent proficiency in RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, and SQL. A good knowledge of DB2 databases. Experience in business process analysis and writing functional and technical specifications. Experience in supporting and maintaining critical applications.
