Job Description As a Flooring Associate, you will help the customers to fully understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As knowledgeable sales professionals, sales associates can make recommendations which solve customers' problems and enhance their shopping experience. Starting hourly wage is $17.55. Responsibilities Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge Clarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution for their projects. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions Produce quotes, material lists and follows up Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently. Continually learn about products and market conditions Qualifications Excellent communication and team player Sales and customer service experience Possess a high level of attention to details Ability to lift 55 lbs. Ability to workdays/evening/weekends (rotating shifts) Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) used to process orders Grade 12 diploma or equivalent considered an asset About Us Founded in 1882, J.D. Requirements
Candidates should have sales and customer service experience, the ability to lift 55 lbs, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Flexibility to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and weekends is required.
