Job summary
Job Description As a Yard/Gatehouse Associate, you will need to maintain the highest standards of safety, service and merchandising. The job can be quite physical and involves standing, walking and lifting. You will need to learn our products and policies and seek assistance when asked a question that you are unable to answer, or you need help lifting a heavy item. Responsibilities Provide superior customer service – this includes greeting customers, providing information, completing sales, and arranging deliveries Maintain store standards – Inventory, Replenishment and Merchandising Learn about new products and attending department specific training when provided Work safely by following all safety standards. Prepare invoices, quotes, credit invoices and delivery invoices. Follow computerized operating system to keep inventory up to date in system if receiving new products or writing off the product through theft or damage. In-house forklift training to be provided (21+ years of age). Qualifications Excellent communication and team player Sales and customer service experience Possess a high level of attention to details Ability to lift 55 lbs. Ability to work days/evening/weekends (rotating shifts) Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D365) used to process orders Willingness to work in all weather conditions About Us Founded in 1882, J.D. Requirements
Candidates must be able to lift 55 lbs, work rotating shifts in all weather conditions, and possess strong communication skills. Experience in sales and customer service is required, along with the ability to learn the D365 system.
