SEASONAL BUS DRIVER (LATE AFTERNOONS) Kimberley, BC DRIVE THE SKI SERVICE THIS WINTER! Keolis is seeking two Seasonal Transit Bus Drivers to support our Kimberley winter ski service. If you enjoy working with the public, value safety, and are looking for seasonal employment with a predictable afternoon and evening schedule, we'd love to hear from you. These seasonal positions are expected to begin December 15, 2026, to allow for training prior to the start of the winter schedule, and will continue until approximately April 15, 2027. Please note: These positions are primarily assigned to the ski service afternoon/evening shift and candidates must be available to work from 3:42 PM to 11:29 PM throughout the season. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Safely operate conventional and accessible transit buses in accordance with company policies and provincial regulations * Transport passengers on scheduled routes while providing exceptional customer service * Assist passengers with mobility devices when required * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections * Complete required vehicle documentation and inspection reports * Operate onboard communications equipment and fare collection systems * Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for passengers and coworkers * Report incidents, safety concerns, collisions, or service disruptions promptly * Fuel, clean, and perform routine vehicle care as required * Adhere to all safety, operational, and regulatory requirements WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Valid Class 4 Driver's License * Class 2 or Class 1 Driver's License would be considered an asset * Clean driver's abstract * Ability to pass a criminal record check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing * Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Reliable, professional, and punctual * Availability to work the assigned ski service schedule, primarily 3:42 PM to 11:29 PM BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE * Previous transit, coach, shuttle, school bus, or commercial driving experience * Experience working in a customer-service-focused environment * Knowledge of the Kimberley and Cranbrook area * Experience operating in winter driving conditions WHAT WE OFFER * Seasonal employment from approximately December 15, 2026 to April 15, 2027 * Hourly rate: $27.73/hour * Paid training at $19.41/hour * Comprehensive training program * Unionized position with CUPE Local 2087 * Opportunity to gain valuable transit experience with a global transportation company ABOUT KEOLIS Keolis Canada is a leader in public transportation, with over 2,000 employees dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable multimodal mobility solutions across the country. Requirements
Requires a valid Class 4 Driver's License and the ability to pass a criminal record check and drug testing. Candidates must be available for the specific afternoon and evening ski service schedule.
