JOB OVERVIEW The Line Maintenance AME (M or E) has advanced technical knowledge and experience in supporting fleet operations and is a trusted troubleshooter with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The focus is on supporting KF Cargo’s ATR Fleet and third-party maintenance turns. YVR line maintenance is looking at expanding to support other operators and fleet types. LOCATION This position is based in Vancouver, BC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Technical • Receives and departs aircraft • Completes daily inspections • Engages in advanced trouble shooting on multiple aircraft and generates alternatives to maintain aircraft in service • Clears up log book snags • Performs independent critical and non-critical systems checks. • Tow aircraft • Releases aircraft for flight • Completes MOC functions when required • Performs planned maintenance as required • Identifies, obtains, uses and tests appropriate tools for the jobs Documentation & Administration • Ensures appropriate documentation is completed accurately and on time for own work and for the work of other crew members as required in areas where they are endorsed • Sources required technical information in maintenance manuals in an accurate and timely manner Safety • Safely operates all ground equipment • Ensures all crew members and non-crew members wear appropriate PPE • Understands, applies and promotes the Risk Management System • Understands, applies and promotes Health and Safety Policies • Understands, applies and promotes safe handling practices with the aircraft • Maintains a high level of housekeeping / cleanliness • Actively looks for opportunities to ensure and improve the safety of the crew and others Supervision and Developing Others • Engages team members and delegates snags • Communicates required information and testing for understanding • Demonstrating professional conduct and positive customer orientation Ground Service Equipment & Facilities • AME’s typically perform minor GSE & facility maintenance when GSE needs assistance Travel & Shiftwork • Line Maintenance AME’s may be required to travel to other locations to support ATR fleet (I.e. Victoria, Prince George, & Kamloops) • Shifts are typically 11.4 hours, 4-5, 5-4 rotation and include days and afternoons and weekends • Line Maintenance AME’s must be physically capable of performing the duties of the job, including working at heights, under pressure, and in poor weather conditions REQUIREMENTS • Minimum 5 years as a licensed AME • M2 License • Preferably with experience/endorsement on ATR, B737NG, B737MAX, A321 • Thorough understanding of Transport Canada regulations. • Ability to obtain and maintain TC RAIC Access and Ground Operating License (AVOP’s) WAGE Transport Canada Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (with at least 2 years of experience) earn an hourly wage starting at $38.03 up to $45.65. Plus an additional ACA pay (up to $4.50/hr) with room to grow into Senior (up to $51.27) and Shift Lead roles (up to $55.04). Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid M2 license and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed AME. Experience or endorsements on ATR, B737NG, B737MAX, or A321 aircraft are preferred.
